Jesus is not far. He is not distant from our hurts. He is not long off from our fears. He is Emmanuel. He is God with us. At Christmas, we remember Jesus is Near to the broken-hearted. He is Near to the confused. Near to the hopeful and the ignored. Christmas is a reminder that Jesus is Near to us.
