The start of a new year is a great time to reflect and cast a new vision. Thus the age-old practice of New Year’s resolutions: exercise more, save more, spend less, eat less, be more generous, have better boundaries, take more and better vacations, etc. Left to ourselves, we will get sucked into the same unhealthy routes that often result in “dead ends.”Therefore we need to gain understanding and sensitivity to the “detour” signs God places along our paths. There is much more Jesus has for us if we recognize and follow His leading.
